My Vision Is To Unite And Bringout A Nation With Mutuality And Better Understanding Of Islam.
Abdur Rahman Mahdoom is a young Alim and Motivational Speaker from Sri Lanka, hailing from a religious family, inheriting spiritual and religious knowledge from his own father. He is a gifted student of the Islamic world with him having mastered his talent of specialization in the discipline of classical Arabic, Islamic jurisprudence, Hadith (traditions of the Prophet ﷺ), Quranic Tafsir, and other Islamic sciences just at the age of 14.
Abdur Rahman's vision and purpose are simple but profound; it is to inspire, awaken and bring out a nation with mutuality and a better understanding of Islam in its true essence by spreading it with wisdom and love. And he strongly believes that it only helps him become a better believer, which is when he decided to call people towards the truth. He also wishes to use his skills of public and motivational speaking and use his knowledge that he has gained over the past few years to bring about a change in the people and the community.
Currently, he is the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Islamic Research Union, a first of its kind in Sri Lanka, which focuses on the primary purpose of exhorting people towards the truth and disseminating knowledge to educate Muslims as well as non-Muslims alike about Islam. He is also the Co-Founder of Hijabi LK, a project of the Islamic Research Union, initiated to provide authentic Islamic clothing for women.
